Jurassic World Alive supply drops and chests
Updated 27 September 2026
Supply drops in short
Supply drops are the spinning cubes on the Jurassic World Alive map. Tap or swipe one in range and it pays darts, coins and sometimes Game Cash, then locks for 15 minutes. Coins are capped each day by player level, from 800 at level 1 to 25,000 at level 35, and every map limit resets at 00:00 UTC. Gold Coin Chase chests reopen hourly and pay up to 25,000 more coins a day.

Every JWA supply drop and chest type
Everything you can open on the map falls into two families. Supply drops are the cubes: standard, VIP, green Special Event and their seasonal skins, all on a 15-minute timer. Chests belong to timed events called chases, with longer timers, bigger coin payouts and limits of their own.

Supply drop
The orange spinning cube. Darts, coins, a chance of Game Cash and care items. Reopens after 15 minutes.

VIP supply drop
What VIP members see instead: gold trim and VIP Prizes, double the standard prizes, same 15 minutes.

Special Event supply drop
The green drop that appears during events, with featured creatures nearby, VIP-sized prizes for everyone and a limit of its own.

Depleted drop
A drop you have already opened turns dark grey. Select it to see the time left before it reopens.

Seasonal skin
Holidays and events reskin the cubes, like this summer fireworks drop. The look changes; the prizes stay the same, sometimes with a themed scent.

Coin Chase chest
The gold treasure chest. One coin payout per open, up to a 10x jackpot, reopening every hour.
| Type | Reopens after | Daily coin cap, level 20 / 35 | Shares its limit with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supply drop (orange) | 15 minutes | 15,000 / 25,000 | VIP drops |
| VIP supply drop | 15 minutes | 15,000 / 25,000 | Standard drops |
| Special Event drop (green) | 15 minutes | 7,500 / 12,500 | Nothing, its own counter |
| Coin Chase chest (gold) | 1 hour | 25,000 / 25,000 | Other Coin Chase chests |
| Treasure Chase chest | Opens once, four a day | 15,000 at level 20 | Its own counter |
| Holiday gift | 24 hours | Varies by gift | Its own counter |
What does a supply drop give?
A standard supply drop always pays 4 darts, then rolls four prize slots. Coins come from three of them, so most openings pay coins twice and darts at least twice. Game Cash turns up in about 1 drop in 13. Care items (food and play) join the fourth slot from player level 5, and green event drops add a fifth slot with Attack, Health or Speed boosts from level 10.

| Slot | Supply drop | VIP supply drop | Special Event drop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Always | 4 darts | 4 darts | 4 darts |
| Prize 1 | 8 darts (70%) or small coins (30%) | 16 darts (70%) or VIP small coins (30%) | Same as VIP |
| Prize 2 | Large coins (90%), 4 darts (8%) or 10 Game Cash (2%) | VIP large coins (90%), 8 darts (8%) or 20 Game Cash (2%) | Same as VIP |
| Prize 3 | Small coins (50%), 4 darts (44%) or 10 Game Cash (6%) | VIP small coins (50%), 8 darts (44%) or 20 Game Cash (6%) | Same as VIP |
| Prize 4 | 4 darts, food, a play item or a common scent (25% each) | 8 darts, food, a play item or a common scent (25% each) | 8 darts (10%), food or a play item (32.5% each), common scent (25%) |
| Prize 5 | None | None | 8 darts (10%), or 1 Attack, Health or Speed boost (30% each) |
Put together, a standard drop pays about 12.7 darts and 0.8 Game Cash on average. A VIP drop pays about 21.4 darts and 1.6 Game Cash, and a green event drop about 21 darts plus a boost most of the time. Below level 5, a care-item roll in the fourth slot pays nothing.

How many coins does a supply drop give?
Coin prizes grow with your player level. At level 20 a standard drop averages 341 coins and a VIP or event drop 681.
| Level | Small coin prize | Large coin prize | Average, supply drop | Average, VIP or event drop |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 11 | 22 | 29 | 57 |
| 5 | 43 | 86 | 112 | 224 |
| 10 | 77 | 154 | 200 | 400 |
| 15 | 106 | 212 | 276 | 551 |
| 20 | 131 | 262 | 341 | 681 |
| 25 | 156 | 312 | 406 | 811 |
| 30 | 181 | 362 | 471 | 941 |
| 35 | 210 | 420 | 546 | 1,092 |
VIP and event drops pay double both coin prizes. Averages are calculated from the prize odds above and rounded; a single drop pays anything from zero coins (all darts) to the small plus large plus small prize.
Supply drop limits by player level
Every drop feeds a daily counter, and the counter has a cap for each resource. Standard and VIP drops share one counter, green Special Event drops have their own, and Coin Chase chests a third. Hitting one cap does not touch the others.
| Level | Supply + VIP drops | Special Event drops | Coin Chase chests | Supply drops to cap | VIP drops to cap | Event drops to cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 800 | 400 | 6,000 | 28 | 14 | 7 |
| 5 | 4,000 | 2,000 | 10,000 | 36 | 18 | 9 |
| 10 | 8,000 | 4,000 | 15,000 | 40 | 20 | 10 |
| 15 | 11,800 | 5,900 | 20,000 | 43 | 22 | 11 |
| 20 | 15,000 | 7,500 | 25,000 | 45 | 23 | 12 |
| 25 | 18,000 | 9,000 | 25,000 | 45 | 23 | 12 |
| 30 | 21,200 | 10,600 | 25,000 | 46 | 23 | 12 |
| 35 | 25,000 | 12,500 | 25,000 | 46 | 23 | 12 |
The other daily limits do not change with level:
- Game Cash: 40 a day from supply and VIP drops, plus 10 from Special Event drops.
- Scent: 1 common scent a day from each counter.
- Care items: 4 food and 4 play items from supply drops, 2 of each from event drops, from level 5.
- Boosts: 6 each of Attack, Health and Speed from Special Event drops, from level 10.
- Darts: no daily limit that I can find.
Why other guides say 3,000 coins at level 1. Some seasonal drops carry their own, older limit table that starts at 3,000 coins and tops out at 15,000 at level 20. The everyday cap starts lower, at 800, but keeps rising past level 20, all the way to 25,000. From level 13 to 20 the two tables are identical.

How ranking up raises your limits
Your player level is the single biggest lever on map income. Each level adds 800 coins to the supply drop cap up to level 14 and about 600 after that, and the level cap has been 35 since update 3.15, so there are fifteen more steps past level 20 than older guides show. Coins pay for evolving creatures, evolving earns XP, and XP raises your level, which raises the cap again.
- Level 5: food and play items start appearing in drops.
- Level 10: green event drops start paying Attack, Health and Speed boosts.
- Level 20: the Coin Chase cap reaches its 25,000 maximum. Chest payouts keep growing after that, so you reach it in fewer chests, about 10 at level 35 instead of 15.
- Level 35: the supply drop cap peaks at 25,000 and the event drop cap at 12,500.
What happens when you hit the supply drop limit?
Nothing breaks, the drops just pay less. Once a resource is capped, it stops appearing in your prizes and the drop's detail view shows Limit reached with a small icon for each capped resource. When coins are capped, the coin icon disappears from the side of the cubes. Tap the i button next to the drop's title to see which limits you have hit.
What keeps coming is darts. A capped prize simply pays nothing, but the guaranteed four darts and every dart roll still land, so a capped drop keeps topping up your darts. The limit is counted per family, so a player who has capped orange drops can still collect the full coin allowance from green event drops and Coin Chase chests the same day. When I reached the Coin Chase cap, the chests kept opening but paid darts instead of coins.
Is it worth opening drops after the limit?
If you are darting, yes. At about 13 darts per standard drop and 21 per VIP or event drop, a loop of a few nearby drops every 15 minutes keeps you stocked for creature hunting long after the coins stop. If you only want coins, move on to event drops or a Coin Chase, or wait for the reset.

When do supply drop limits reset?
Daily map limits reset at 00:00 UTC every day
The reset clears the coin, Game Cash, scent, care item and boost counters for supply drops, event drops and chests at the same moment. It does not reset cooldowns: a drop you opened ten minutes before the reset still has five minutes to go.
| Where | Summer time | Winter time |
|---|---|---|
| New York (ET) | 8:00 PM | 7:00 PM |
| Los Angeles (PT) | 5:00 PM | 4:00 PM |
| London | 1:00 AM | 12:00 AM |
| Paris, Berlin | 2:00 AM | 1:00 AM |
| India (IST) | 5:30 AM | 5:30 AM |
| Singapore, Manila | 8:00 AM | 8:00 AM |
| Sydney | 10:00 AM | 11:00 AM |
In the Americas the reset lands in the evening, so a player who caps out after dinner gets a fresh allowance the same night. Sydney summer time runs October to April, the opposite of the northern hemisphere.
Cooldowns on each drop and chest
- Supply, VIP and Special Event drops: 15 minutes.
- Coin Chase chests: 1 hour.
- Moving Chase chests: 15 minutes, with new chests appearing as they go.
- Solo Chase chests: 2 hours 20 minutes.
- Treasure Chase chests: one open each, up to four a day.
- Holiday gifts: once every 24 hours.

JWA chests: Coin Chase and treasure chests
Treasure chests appear during chases, events that put chests on the map for a day or a week. The everyday one is the Coin Chase: gold chests that each pay a single coin prize and reopen after an hour, up to 25,000 coins a day from level 20. The in-game banner puts it as “Open Coin Chase boxes every hour and collect up to 25,000 coins daily.”
| Prize | Chance | Level 1 | Level 10 | Level 20 | Level 35 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 52.5% | 300 | 570 | 870 | 1,320 |
| Medium | 35% | 600 | 1,140 | 1,740 | 2,640 |
| Large | 10% | 1,500 | 2,850 | 4,350 | 6,600 |
| Jackpot | 2.5% | 3,000 | 5,700 | 8,700 | 13,200 |
| Average | 593 | 1,126 | 1,718 | 2,607 |

At level 20 that averages 1,718 coins a chest, so about 15 opens fill the day's cap. With several chests in walking range you can finish in a couple of hourly rounds.
Treasure Chase and Treasure Spree
A Treasure Chase puts up to four chests on the map for the day, each opening once. Every chest pays a fixed amount by level, 750 coins at level 1 and 3,750 at level 20, so all four together pay 15,000 at level 20. The Treasure Spree works the same way, with the same chest payouts.
Themed chases and their chests
Holidays bring their own chests and skins. These are the most recent settings for the chases that come back each year; Ludia can change the amounts when an event returns.
| Chase | Each chest | Daily cap | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lunar New Year Chase | 888 coins | 8,888 coins | Coins only, same amount every chest. |
| Solo Chase (Singles' Day) | 1,111 coins | 11,111 coins | Chests reopen after 2 hours 20 minutes. |
| Valentine's Day Chase | 500, 1,000, 1,500 or 5,000 coins | 15,000 coins | The bigger prizes can include an emote. |
| Trick or Chase (Halloween) | 120 to 1,200 coins at level 1, 500 to 5,000 at level 20 | 6,000 to 25,000 coins by level | Sometimes adds care items, with a 1 in 5 chance of an emote. |
| Pot of Gold Chase (St. Patrick's Day) | Coins plus 5, 8, 12 or 25 of each boost | 6,000 to 25,000 coins, 50 of each boost | Every chest comes with boosts. |
| Winter Chase (holiday gifts) | Coins, incubators, emotes or Game Cash | Each gift opens once | The green gift is the map's only Game Cash chest. |
| Moving Chase | 700 coins | 62,500 coins | New chests appear every 15 minutes. |
| Lord Lythronax's Treasure | Lythronax DNA plus coins | 25,000 coins | One of the few DNA chests. |
| Cool Off Chase (summer) | 2,500 coins plus care items | 2,500 coins | A single chest per day. |

Ready to open
A ready chest says Tap to Open. A grey one is still on its timer.
Cash chests: where Game Cash comes from
On the map, the only chest that pays Game Cash is the green gift in the holiday Winter Chase: 25, 100 or 250 Game Cash, or an incubator instead. The blue gift pays coins, an emote or an incubator, the red gift pays incubators, and every gift adds five of one boost.
In the Market, Chest of Cash and Chest of Coins are bundles, not chests you find. Chest of Cash is Game Cash bought with real money, and Chest of Coins turns Game Cash into coins.
From supply drops, Game Cash is a small, steady trickle: 10 per hit on a standard drop and 20 on a VIP or event drop, capped at 40 a day plus 10 from event drops. That cap is the same at every level, so it is worth collecting every day rather than saving drops for later.

Special Event supply drops and featured creatures
Green Special Event drops appear while an event runs, especially around parks, and each one has a featured creature nearby. Their prizes match a VIP drop for every player, and they add boosts and care items. Their daily coin cap is half the regular one (7,500 at level 20), but it is a separate counter, so event drops are pure extra income on top of your orange drops.
The featured creatures have a limited number of darting attempts per rarity, shared across every creature of that rarity. The creature card shows it as Max Attempts. Common creatures usually allow the most attempts and Legendary and Unique creatures only one or two, but each event sets its own numbers.
Does distance to a supply drop matter?
Yes. You can collect a drop from the edge of your range, but the game warns “Collect now or activate GPS to walk closer and earn more rewards”, and it means it: in one long-range test, the coins came out at a quarter of the full amount. Walk up to the drop with GPS on for the full prize.
How to get the most from supply drops
- Open event drops and Coin Chase chests as well as orange drops. They fill separate caps.
- Walk a short loop of drops close together, so each is ready again when you get back after 15 minutes.
- Collect from close range. Long-range opens pay a fraction of the prize.
- Plan around 00:00 UTC. Cap out before the reset, then start again straight after it.
- Keep opening after the coin cap if you need darts. They are not limited.
- Level up. Every level raises the cap until level 35.
Supply drop and chest questions
How long is the supply drop cooldown in Jurassic World Alive?
Standard, VIP and Special Event supply drops reopen 15 minutes after you open them. The timer belongs to that one drop, so the drop next to it is still ready. Coin Chase chests take 60 minutes, Treasure Chase chests open once, and holiday gifts once a day.
What is the daily coin limit for supply drops?
It depends on your player level: 800 coins at level 1, 8,000 at level 10, 15,000 at level 20 and 25,000 at level 35. Standard and VIP drops share that cap. Green Special Event drops have a separate cap of half the size, and Coin Chase chests add up to 25,000 more.
When do supply drop limits reset?
Once a day at 00:00 UTC. That is 8 PM in New York during daylight saving time (7 PM in winter), 5 PM in Los Angeles and 1 AM in London in summer. Cooldowns on individual drops are separate and keep running on their own 15-minute timers.
Do VIP supply drops have a higher limit?
No. VIP drops pay double prizes, but they use the same daily caps and the same counter as standard drops. VIP players simply reach the cap in about half as many drops, roughly 23 instead of 45 at level 20.
Is there a daily limit on darts from supply drops?
I have not found one. The daily limits cover coins, Game Cash, scents, care items and event boosts, and darts are not on the list. That is why a capped drop keeps paying darts: about 13 per standard drop and 21 per VIP or event drop on average.
Can you watch an ad to open a supply drop again?
Not in the current version. The ads on offer speed up incubators, give free darts (25 a time, three times a day), open free incubators and add a little Game Cash to your mail. None of them resets or doubles a supply drop.
Do Coin Chase coins count toward the supply drop limit?
No. Coin Chase chests have their own daily cap (6,000 coins at level 1, rising by 1,000 a level to 25,000 at level 20), so a day with both can pay up to 40,000 coins at level 20 before Special Event drops.
Are there cash chests in Jurassic World Alive?
Two things go by that name. On the map, the green gift in the holiday Winter Chase is the one chest that pays Game Cash (25, 100 or 250). In the Market, Chest of Cash is a Game Cash bundle you buy. Everyday supply drops also pay 10 Game Cash now and then, up to 40 a day.

- Hybrid fusion guide for what unlocking a hybrid costs.
- Raids for boss strategies once your team is built.
- Alliance missions, where every supply drop you open counts toward the weekly Seek Supplies task (2,500 drops for Rank 10).
- Map achievements for the darting, supply drop and scent goals.
